Carey is the CEO and Founder. He has over 23 years of beer industry experience. Carey has held numerous position at the distributor level as well as with multiple brewers in sales, category management, category space management, operations, marketing and revenue management.
Bob is our Chief Sales & Marketing Officer and Founder. He has been in the brewing industry for over 23 years and held positions in sales, marketing, distribution, and finance at various industry leading companies.
Mitch is the Brewmaster, COO and Founder. He has been brewing beer for over 30 years, studying brewing science at the University of California Davis and home brewing prior to becoming a professional brewer in 1988. He has since brewed at some of the largest and smallest breweries in the world. After starting on a 14 bbl system at the San Andreas Brewing Co. in California, Mitch joined A-B in 1992. There he managed brew-house and fermenting operations in three breweries, and lead new beer innovation as part of the Specialty Brewing Group in the mid-1990s. In 2006, Mitch joined Stone Brewing in San Diego county, where he has spent the last 10 years overseeing all brewing operations as Stone Brewing has grown from a 50,000 bbl operation to one of the top 10 largest craft brewers in the country, operating 4 separate breweries. In 2012, Mitch authored the Brewers Publications book IPA: Brewing Techniques, Recipes and the Evolution of India Pale Ale and in 2014, the Brewers Association awarded Mitch with the prestigious Russell Scherer Award for innovation in craft brewing.
Michael is our Controller. Michael attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he studied Business Administration and Economics. He received his Masters in Accounting from UNC-Chapel Hill and shortly thereafter, earned his CPA designation. After moving to Atlanta and working for Ernst and Young, Michael spent 3 years with Morgan Stanley and 4 years with The Quartz Corp as Group Controller. Michael joins ABW from Sweetwater Brewing Co. in Atlanta, GA, where he held the title of Dollar Lama / Controller. Michael’s love for process manufacturing, accounting, financial control, and general administration runs deep – but, as a long-time craft enthusiast, his love for craft beer runs deeper!
